Engineering Trade-Off & Decision Rationale

Why not purely ML models in Python? Keeping the recommendation scoring within an indexed Node.js pipeline avoided the cost and latency overhead of an external Python microservice for early-stage production workloads, keeping p95 latency under 85ms.
